Center to Open in March, 1999
Currently, Bank One operates regional consumer lending operations in two Wisconsin locations: downtown Milwaukee at 1000 N. Market St. (which has 180 employees) and Waukesha at 831 Grand Ave. (with 160 employees).
"Once the new site is open, employees supporting the loan center will begin to transfer from the downtown and Waukesha offices to our Menomonee Falls site, and other Bank One staff will occupy our Milwaukee and Waukesha facilities," said Joanne Weber, loan center manager. "Simultaneously, we are expanding our staff to support our booming consumer lending business."
Bank One consumer lending operations serve seven states: Wisconsin, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and West Virginia. At the new operations center, activities will include underwriting, collections, and the bank's fast-growing Loan-By-Phone, through which consumers apply for loans by phone (at 1-800-800-LOAN).
New jobs are entry-level, supervisory and management positions. Hiring efforts, currently under way, include local advertisements, job fairs, and a career hotline at 1-888-562-7650. Resumes may be mailed to: Bank One, 1000 N. Market Street, Milwaukee, WI 53201.
Bank One Wisconsin continues to have a base of 700 employees at its downtown Milwaukee location.
