Public Policy Veterans Brian Roseboro and Emily Beizer Join JPMorgan Chase's Global Government Relations Team
Washington, D.C., October 2, 2008 - JPMorgan Chase & Co. today announced two new members of its Global Government Relations team. Brian C. Roseboro will assume the role of Managing Director for Public Policy and Emily Beizer joins the firm as Vice President for International Affairs. Both Roseboro and Beizer will report to Peter L. Scher, Executive Vice President for Global Government Relations and Public Policy in JPMorgan Chase's Office of Corporate Responsibility.
In his new position, Roseboro will coordinate economic and public policy initiatives on behalf of the firm. Commenting on Roseboro, Scher said, "Brian's leadership positions in Washington, D.C., along with his extensive experience in the financial services industry, will provide our team with a wealth of knowledge as we work to address the numerous public policy issues facing today's economic markets."
Roseboro began his career at the firm as the Chief Risk Officer for the Chief Investment Office. He previously served as Under Secretary for Domestic Finance and Assistant Secretary for Financial Markets in the US Department of the Treasury. Nominated by President Bush and confirmed by the United States Senate, Roseboro was a principal economic official on all aspects of domestic finance. Previous to his government service, Roseboro held senior positions with American International Group, Swiss Bank Corporation, First National Bank of Chicago and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Beizer joins JPMorgan Chase bringing extensive public policy experience managing international issues including trade agreements, market access and financial services matters with corporations and government. Most recently, she was a Vice President of the Grocery Manufacturers Association, leading their international program and a Senior Policy Advisor with Mayer Brown, LLP. Beizer previously served as Assistant U.S. Trade Representative in the Clinton Administration, leading efforts on a variety of trade issues, including Congressional approval of Permanent Normal Trade Relations for China as well as passage of the Trade Development Act of 2000.
Commenting on Beizer joining the firm, Scher said, "Emily has tremendous experience on international issues and will greatly enhance our firm's efforts to play a leadership role in the global economy."
